Week 36 Bank Holiday Declutter
This week has just flown by! So fast I found it hard to remember what happened this week or last week!
Back to school
This week saw youngest go back to school. This year he started high school, so it was a bit of a change for him. But he confidently managed the new routine without any issues. It’s quite interesting to hear about his day, since we have all been doing the same things together. We will have to get used to the additional back to school costs! Their lunch money gets loaded onto their account so they have a daily allowance. It also shows what they have spent their money on which can be quite useful!
Healthy living update
We have had our rowing machine for a while now. I still try and do my 30 minutes a day (when I can fit it in) and also try to stick to doing ten thousand steps. Along with this I am using my Samsung app to keep track of my calorie count for the day. Its quite hard to remember everything so I try and input it as I am eating! I have also cut snacking out completely which has been really hard!

This week we received delivery of our new weighing scales. They are fantastic and record far more than just weight! Using an app it records each days results so you can compare how your progressing!

I find it so much better having a target to work to!
Declutter
This week I decided it was time to clear up and declutter my office/gaming room. After a couple of hours deep cleaning I could finally see my desk and floor! I even hung up my Game of Thrones posters. It really is amazing how many wires you can collect over the years, I seem to have an endless supply of chargers and HDMI cables.
I took things one step further with the cleaning and decided it was time to take on the fridge! I took all the food out, binned anything out of date! Seriously there was jams older than me in there! I then cleaned all the shelves and restocked.
I was quite pleased with the outcome of the declutter to be fair!

Gaming
Now my room is clear I have started gaming a little again. Picking up one of my old favourites Medal Of Honor. I have also played a little Fortnite with the boys too. Getting a few wins this week which always seems to go down well! It’s always hard to try and get back into a game as it takes a lot of time to get to a good level.
Back in the day I obviously had way to much time on my hands and played at a fairly decent skill level! But there was none of this streaming business then! Shame really as it probably would have been quite profitable!
Track of the week
This week has to be Linkin Park’s, Castle Of Glass. This song is simply amazing, along with the emotive music video it really is a great hit. I love bopping along to Link Park regularly when I’m cooking!

Oh they’re back to school! My father sends money into my account every month for college and transport. Nice GOT posters. Nice declutter. OoOO I’m a gamer too! Linkin Park songs are the best!
The Game of Thrones posters look great. And the fridge – wow ! You can come and have a clear out in mine if you like ! lol. It is weird now that the kids are going back to school. Is normal life resuming? And if so, for how long ?!
Glad that your youngest has managed the change in routine at high school well. Good luck with the healthy living. Keeping track as you go along sounds like a good approach. Decluttering is very satisfying. I really should do the same with my fridge. #project366
The posters look really striking on that wall. Bet giving the room a tidy out and face lift has made it more appealing. Glad the new school seems to be going well – it’s always a bit of a worry.
I feel like we need to constantly declutter. I do one room and then look around another and need to start that… I can see the desk in my office but there is far too much paperwork everywhere. Maybe one for this week now the kids are finally back at school. I like the sound of the allowance app.
I love a good declutter, I had to empty the fridge also having been away for 3 weeks with 3 septs of house sitters, I swear blind there was a cure for covid growing in the cheese box. Have you kept al the cables? I sorted all the spare ones out after our last house move 3 years ago and threw them all away on my last trip to Dubai, Hubby is still complaining that we might need them one day lol. Well done with the exercising and cutting out the snacks
Our fridge has a shelf at the top that no one dares go near! I’m thinking of getting a fitness tracker but looking for one that isn’t a watch #project366
