About Me

Hi, I’m Sean this is my about me page. I have been blogging a few years now. Hubby Helps so called because that’s what I always seem to be doing – helping. Especially for the mother-in-law who always has some kind of IT problem that needs fixing. Seriously her computer has a breakdown practically every other day it seems!

I work as a practice manager but find blogging quite therapeutic and relaxing to unwind from a stressful job. If I am not blogging I can be found gaming. Currently playing Warzone as I just love first person shooters. I have try my hand at Rocket League and Diablo 4 most recently. I have two boys aged 17 and 15, full of attitude, very noisy but most definitely the heart of the home. My son’s are following in my footsteps since their early days and very much into gaming (Gone are the days I could easily beat them in games!)

I have been married to Karen who blogs at Missing Sleep for 17 years now. We had a whirlwind romance but are still hanging on through the haze of tiredness that is parenting! I tend to take care of all her IT needs along with making sure she is fed and watered every day! To be fair she takes care of everything else in the house!

Over the past few years we have visited a number of new places. One of the top five being visiting Orlando and making some new friends! We still have places to adventure to in the UK. Which we are hopeful to get taken care of before the boys leave school. Although Karen has her eyes set every year on travelling somewhere abroad that is new!

A new update to our travelling adventures we managed to tick off Lake Garda, Italy in June 2023. Definitely recommend that as a European destination, we had great fun taking a boat out on the lake, and not to mention that wine seems to be cheaper that water! After lake we headed to Las Vegas in the October, quite a contrast to our previous holiday but so much to pack in we managed to get around 30 of the 60 main casinos, taking in all that each had on offer (I managed to be up on the gambling by the end of the stay). We took in the sights ticking off the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon amongst other attractions, but be prepare for the relentless tipping! Finally heading to Barbados in February 2024 before taking a two year break on travelling! Barbados we awesome and I would recommend staying along St Lawrence Gap as there are a ton of amenities along the safe to walk stretch (some booking needed in the restaurants). Its also worth befriending a taxi guide early on so you can get around the Island easy enough!

I am always happy to have a look at potential collaboration ideas on content for Hubby Helps. If you do have a project in mind please get in contact via slan83@hotmail.com or any of my social media pages.
