This year has been rather tricky when it comes to picking out Christmas presents. On the most part the boys are solely into Fortnite and everyone else seems to have everything they want! So I guess this year it about taking things back to basics! So here is my brief guide to my Christmas present plans this year!
Traditional & Unusual Gifts
I always head to Findmeagift when I want to find something a little more bespoke. They offer a great range of unique presents.
For me I like the Samurai Kitchen Knives, comprising of four knives, after all I am the chef of the house. RRP £44.99 currently on sale at £24.99!
For the wife, the perfect wine glass! A great way for her to unwind after a long day working! (And parenting!) RRP £14.99 but currently on sale at £8.99.
I tend to keep an eye out on Paladone as well, being stockists it is a great way for me to stay one step ahead of my friends when it come to giving this Christmas!
Me and the boys love Star Wars, we have watched the films and often play the game on the playstation. This year I have my hands on a Tie Fighter desk lamp! I have recently created a gaming room in the house nicely tucked away. This lamp runs of the USB which is great as I have limited sockets available! RRP £49.99 but you should be able to get hold of one of these for around £35!
Another on the list for a Secret Santa is the Home Bar Drinks Dispenser. Perfectly on budget for most Secret Santa presents you should be able to pick one up for around £10. Now all you need to do is hook up your favourite beverage!
Out of the box ideas
I have always struggled to get the perfect gifts for my parents. However, since they have retired I thought this year I would ramp things up a little. They never had much time for themselves so I thought a Buyagift voucher would be the perfect idea. That way they get to pick their indulgence! My top thoughts for them are:
Afternoon Tea for two at a New Forest Hotel
As me and the wife love afternoon tea I am sure that my parents would. A stones throw away from their city living is the New Forest. My plan would be for a nice walk followed by and enjoyable afternoon tea!
iFLY Indoor Skydiving Experience for Two
With the boys recently getting their wings on their indoor skydiving experience. I am sure they would love the thought of their Nanny and Grandad doing the same. For me I would love to see the look on my mums face!
I have always been keen to know my heritage. And I know there are others in the family that feel the same. I took my test last month and was fascinated with the results. A simple cheek swab can give you so much information about your DNA. The kit costs £99 but the currently have £20 off!
I knew I had some Irish heritage but was slightly shocked to learn that I was as much Irish as I am German! The report you get gives you information about your Mother and Father lines as well. Which takes you back to their beginnings which is really fascinating! My father line can be traced back 160,000 years and my mother line 200,000!
It really is a fascinating report to look at! Your get a complete breakdown of countries and areas within a country! Perfect for those friends of family members who seem to have everything!
