Stop walking in other peoples shoes

You often hear the phrase, “try walking in other people’s shoes”. I am sure many of you would much rather keep plodding as you are than swap with someone else. Taking this statement literally you could be heading for all kinds of trouble.

Me personally I have a few pairs of shoes. A pair for work, play and the just in case pair! I do find myself preferring to pop on my work pair as the preference as they are so comfortable! And that is exactly what we want. So here are my top tips to keep your feet happy all day everyday!

Add an insole

One sure fire way to add a little comfort in your shoe is to pop an insole in. Why not go the whole hog and opt for a custom made one you can get from an Orthotic Shop. By adding this little extra you might find a new lease of life especially if you are suffering with tired feet.

Stop the pong

There are a few ways to try and dampen down the smell of your footwear. Me personally I pop a couple of dry tea bags in my trainers when I finish my workout. The tea bags seem to draw in the unpleasant smell!Shoes

Get the right size

To ensure you are purchasing the correct size of shoe, it is really worthwhile measuring your feet in the evening or at night. The logic behind this is down to the fact your feet can swell by up to half a size during the day!

Watch out for sores

Listen to your feet. If you happen to spot a new sore spot, ensure you take action early on. Things like narrow toes and high heels can impact upon you foot health. Seek expert advice if things do not resolve by swapping out the new pair of shoes.
