Boutique Gifts

Hamper gifts are my favourite kind of gift. Christmas is about indulgence after all. It’s always fun seeing what is included and getting to try something delicious to eat or drink.

For the chocoholics in the family, I would definitely recommend the Chocolate Tower (£59.99) from Boutique Gifts. This really is jam packed with goodies.

Another product I loved the look of on their site was the Cheese Please Letterbox Hamper (£29.99) contains cheese, crackers and chutney to appease even the most discerning cheese enthusiast in the family!

Or you could gift the Afternoon Tea Hamper instead (£29.99) which includes cake, biscuits, jam and teabags, a winning combination!

The site also has plenty more to pick from not just food related Christmas gifts but candles, cushions, money boxes, socks, hip flasks and coasters and plenty more besides.

Bedsure

I really love the wearable blankets available on Amazon from Bedsure. You can get your own Sherpa fleece blanket hoodie for just £29.99 in either grey, pink, red, ash black or navy blue. These make fantastic gifts as they are affordable. Plus they are a must buy for getting through our chilly autumns and cold winters. Even better they are currently on special offer on Amazon £21.59. so stock up whilst you can at that price! I was impressed with the quality and how cosy they were.

I was sent two of the 110 x 90 cm sized blanket hoodies for my two 6 ft plus teenagers. My youngest is very rarely out of his! They are a good length and provide exceptional warmth. If you want to delay putting the heating on its well worth investing in these for the whole family. These types of products are very popular but the price can sometimes be off-putting. I am grateful that Bedsure are making their wearable blanket hoodies at a price point that is accessible for all.

Cheatwell

New board games are a must every Christmas. Cheatwell have been designing board games since 1986 so you know your in good hands with their products. Since then they have also expanded into toys, puzzles and gifts. Perfect for keeping the family occupied over the holidays any of the choices below would make ideal gifts.

The Christmas Express Game

Christmas Express Game

Keeping things especially festive this game is a fantastic choice to get into the spirit of Christmas. You try and race to the North Pole first. It is not as easy as it sounds as you deal with all the obstacles to your progress like snowstorms and reindeer crossings. Lots of fun to play and no complicated rules to follow. Currently available to buy from Amazon for £15.49 (be quick snap it up at that special price!).

Host Your Own Family Quiz Night

family quiz night

Why not host your own family friendly quiz with this entertaining game with eight question categories. Available from Amazon for £18.49 it covers TV, Geography, History, Science & Nature, Movies, People and Music. There is also a Pot Luck category. Being educational and fun means this is a good game to encourage children to learn more about the world around them. Furthermore, the game has been designed so adults and children can play on a level playing field. The children have a multiple choice question whilst the adults have a more challenging question to answer. It’s a clever design that means children don’t get frustrating playing.

Charades Board Game

charades

Everyone is familiar with the classic game Charades, but Cheatwell have given it a modern twist with its very own board to navigate round. Available for £15 from Amazon it offers plenty of laughter for the price. With 1000 different mimes across six different categories it has lots to offer.

Learning Resources

There are plenty of educational toys and activities ideal for Christmas gifts over on the Learning Resources website. It’s easy to find something in budget you can shop by price or just browse their top Christmas gifts for inspiration. It’s a site that is recommended by teachers and trusted by parents so you know your in good hands with them. The company have been helping children learn since 1984, so they are established and very knowledgeable in their field. Whether its helping with numeracy, literacy, fine motor skills, science or emotional skills Learning Resources have you covered with their fun and engaging products. I have included a few products below to give you an idea what types of products they have.

Help children better understand emotions with these clever puzzle cards (£10).

VASO

Glass straws are a great choice for many reasons. They are non-toxic unlike plastic straws which can leach chemicals. Single use plastic straws were banned in the UK in October 2020. I am relieved that we are cutting back on disposable waste in this country. Especially as it can take 200 years for a plastic straw to fully decompose!

However, the alternative of paper straws can be difficult to use. They are flimsy, bend easily and often stop working before you get to the end of your drink! It’s fantastic they are biodegradable, but they don’t always function very well. That’s why I love having glass straws as an option instead.

The VASO glass straws can be used again and again. Even better you can buy a handy carry case to keep them safe when you are out and about. No more soggy straws to deal with you just bring out your glass straw and enjoy your refreshments without the battle!

They are even dishwasher safe which is very convenient. You might pay a little more but its worth it for helping make a more sustainable planet. They have been manufactured in Germany to a high quality and cope well with shock and temperature changes.

VASO also have insulated stainless steel champagne flutes and wine tumblers which make ideal travel companions. They are perfect to keep your drinks cool or hot so you can use them for tea and coffee too not just wine, champagne or prosecco. Therefore, they are a very versatile product for on the go.

Fitflop

slipper

Women’s slippers make a lovely gift for the ladies in your family. Designed with comfort in mind, these will keep you cosy during the Winter months. Fitflop have a wide range of different designs and colours, so you will soon find the perfect slippers to gift.

Slippers are ideal for anyone who loves snuggling in of an evening. They are designed to keep you warm and toasty especially when walking on cold laminate floors. As you get older you start to appreciate these types of practical gifts more. But everyone in the family will soon see the benefit of a pair of new slippers.

Fitflop also have wellingtons, sandals, walking boots and trainers. So, if your gift recipient already has Fitflop slippers you can easily find something else they will love just as much. They even offer 15% off the full price for key workers. It’s heartwarming that they appreciate the contribution of the NHS, teachers, our military and social care workers by giving them a special discount.

WAHL

With 100 years of product innovation behind them WAHL has plenty to offer this Christmas. Whether its grooming products for men and women’s styling tools or hand-held massagers, James Martin Kitchen Appliances and pet products there are some fantastic gift choices on their website.

The WAHL grooming products are so well regarded they are used in barbers and salons across the country not just by loyal customers at home.  Knowing how respected the brand is by the professionals mean WAHL is a brand you can trust in terms of quality and design. They really are leaders at the forefront of their industry.

I was sent the Extreme Grip 7 in 1 multigroomer. I think its amazing value for £39.99 given the features it includes. The four different heads allow you to do detailing work, a close shave or get rid of unwanted ear and nose hair. It’s a very comfortable shave and the cordless run time is very generous.

multi groomer shaver

Additionally, I was sent the WAHL mini massage gun which is currently on offer at £71.99. Given the price reduction it’s a wonderful time to buy this product. Having a massage gun can really help with your aches and pains. This mini massage gun comes with four different attachment heads so you can target various muscles more effectively. My favourite one is the bullet head as it really does seem to loosen the tightest knots in my body. The device as a whole is very light weight and manoeuvrable so easy to handle.

mini massage gun

WAHL are also another very sustainable company. They actively look for ways to reduce energy used and materials expended. For example they have reduced plastic usage by 37% since 2017.  They have even planted 300 trees around their warehouse to make a natural habitat for bees and butterflies.

TOMY

There are always lots of game and toy ideas to be had over on the TOMY website. I was sent four different board games to feature here.

Game of Saying Huh

game of saying huh

Quite an original concept this game. Basically, you have a word like “Huh” or “Hey” and have to make it sound like different things. Such as angry or fed up. It’s quite a challenge but the results are hilarious. It’s so simple to play but a tad frustrating at the same time. But that’s half the fun as you desperately try to communicate with your tone of voice and facial expressions, so you get awarded points!

Pop Up Mario

Mario pop up game for Christmas

My boys were big fans of Pop Up Pirate growing up, so I love this Mario themed adaption. It’s such a simple game to play too. However, the theming and the anticipation of whether or not Mario will pop out will quickly make this a firm family favourite this Christmas.

Beat The Camera

beat the camera

If you’re looking for a game that’s a bit different, then I can highly recommend Beat The Camera. Basically, you have to find a gemstone searching high and low for it, without activating the security camera. So, children (and grownups too!) will need to do their very best sneaking and seeking! When the sound effects stop you need to be completely still to avoid activating the camera. It’s a game that never gets boring because you can keep changing the gemstone location to keep things fresh and interesting. Plus, as it features elements of hide and seek and musical statues (just without the music) both popular with children you know its going to be an excellent present choice this Christmas.

Deface Race

deface race gift

This has to be my favourite game in the line up! You get a picture card and have to deface it, so it looks like something else. For example, you might have to turn a potato into an alien or a baby into a chef! You have to try and get your team members to guess as many as possible before the timer runs out, so its very fast faced which my family enjoyed!

Mahou beer

mahou beer for Christmas

Mahou authentic Spanish beer is expanding into the UK, so I was sent a few bottles to sample. If you are looking for a premium world beer to introduce someone to this Christmas, then Mahou is an admirable choice. The highly awarded pale lager with five star taste focuses on excellence when brewing. The result is a refreshingly light lager with a pleasant fruity aroma. Mahou was first established in 1890 and since then has become a firm favourite for many beer drinkers. The company want to introduce the UK to a taste of Madrid, so it’s a great time to familiarise yourself with the brand.

Boostology

Gifts should make you feel good and that’s exactly what Boostology wanted to achieve and have managed to deliver. Each product idea is designed to give you a much needed BOOST! Why not have a browse of their Christmas gifts, so many wonderful gifts that will delight the recipient. Christmas shopping doesn’t have to be stressful when you stumble on sites like Boostology! You can easily get it wrapped up in one go!

Some of my favourite products so far are all of which are exclusive to Boostology include:

Fossil stone tea light holder (£20)

fossil tealight holder

Ticks lots of boxes, very decorative, is handmade and the tea lights are vegan friendly and cruelty free.

Apple aromatherapy necklace (£38)

Apple aromatherapy necklace, with essential oil

Essential oils are very calming, so I think this necklace is a fantastic idea. My wife would love this I am sure!

Volcanic Potpourri Lava Rock diffuser (£39)

Volcanic potpourri lava rock essential oil diffuser

Is made from natural materials and is reusable (you just buy more essential oil when needed). It’s also very effective the fragrance is very noticeable after you have added some to the rocks.

So many more reasons to love Boostology revolve around how environmentally friendly they are. For example they plant a tree with every order and have plastic free packaging. They want their products to be reusable and many are made from natural or recycled materials.

Benecos

men's beauty products

If you are looking for natural or organic beauty products, then the Benecos site is well worth browsing. Their products are not tested on animals, so I am in full support of that. They say, “beauty without bunnies”, I wish more companies believed in that ethos. The name Benecos is a combination of “bene” meaning good in Latin and “cos” for cosmetics. They do not think paraffins and silicones are of benefit to the skin, so going natural you get what’s best for your skin and our planet. Instead, you get lovely essential oils and plant extracts.

Seams

Hand cream is always appreciated as a Christmas gift. Seams luxurious non greasy hand cream perhaps even more so. It’s been designed to soften and soothe hands and even condition and strengthen nails. Our hands often give away our age, you will be pleased to know Seams hand cream has anti-ageing properties even helping fade age spots. After being introduced to Seams products, I have realized that not all hand creams are equal! Seams offers so much that easily justifies the price point of £18.

As for the origin story Seams was developed by a seamstress (Karen), who needed hand cream to protect her sore hands but something that wasn’t greasy to ruin what was being made. Seams absorbs instantly into the skin; it is almost magical watching it get to work. It’s a UK brand too! Extra brownie points for gifting UK products to family and friends this Christmas. Plus, it’s not tested on animals which is especially important. I don’t think animals should be harmed in the pursuit of beauty.

Rather than buy just the hand cream why not pick up one of their gift sets instead.

Pulsin

pulsin bars

Now my son is lactose intolerant I am glad I had a chance to be introduced to the Pulsin website when they sent over a few of their products. I also hadn’t realized I had already bought their vegan Choc Hazelnut Brownies for him in the past. It’s hard when you’re on a restrictive diet so I am very grateful for all the companies that have a free from range. Their bars will make good stocking fillers for him.

Christmas isn’t all about indulgence it is a good idea to tick off health and wellbeing too. Pulsin feel good nutrition will help you get back on track after too many mince pies!

I especially love how easy the site is to navigate so you can search products by goal or the diet you are following. It’s very user friendly so you will have no problem picking up a few suitable gifts for someone. Why not buy a few products and then make up a hamper instead, its always a thoughtful gift especially when you have catered for any restrictions they have in their diet.

Vonhaus

The Vonhaus range includes affordable furniture, DIY, garden and storage products that you will love. But they are much more than just great value, they ensure their products are practical, stylish and built to last. In doing so they play a big part in assisting you in creating your dream home. Just browse their site to see what I mean.

Tool Set

toolkit

I was sent the 256 piece premium tool and socket set which makes a fantastic gift for any DIY enthusiast. It is surprising just how much is included for the price (£99). Also, it’s very handy having everything stored conveniently like this. Usually, I have tools dotted around the place which really slows me down when working on my latest DIY project. Vonhaus have made sure it has been designed for heavy use and is logically laid out. They do seem to make products more design led, so they function well not just look the part which I appreciate.

Heated Throw Blanket

heated throw blanket

Also, I was sent the soft and comfy heated throw blanket (currently on offer for £49.99). These make very thoughtful Christmas gifts. Let’s be honest who doesn’t want to be warm and cosy as winter sets in. Additionally, they can help those on a budget, heating the person not the whole house works out considerably cheaper after all. So, it’s a gift for everyone given how much it costs to turn on the heating these days.

Jana Reinhardt

I was so pleased to be reintroduced to this wonderful ethical brand based in the UK. When you shop at Jana Reinhardt not only will you find the most beautiful handmade animal themed jewellery you also get to shop kinder for Christmas gifts. Something that is very important to me and many others right now. The planet needs our help so we should all try and shop with an eco-conscious mindset.

Jana the owner donates to different animal charities and a tree is planted somewhere in the world with every order (who doesn’t want to make the planet greener!). The jewellery is made from recycled metals which prevents further mining which can be very disruptive to animal and plant life. So, it’s a good idea to buy recycled jewellery whenever possible. Also, they use eco-friendly packaging with plastic free boxes. To be honest I am so impressed at the lengths this company go to be more sustainable.

These sterling silver penguin earrings (£69) I gifted to my wife, and she was delighted! She said they are adorable. Penguins are very loyal and bond for life so it’s a romantic gift to give to a loved one.

Christmas gifts for penguin fans

There are many more designs so if you prefer dogs, cats or even aardvarks you will be well catered for on their website either with earrings or a necklace.

School of Wok

School of Wok is an award winning cookery school based in London. They specialise in Asian and oriental cooking, and you can choose to either have face to face or online cookery lessons.

Why not gift cookery classes with the School of Wok or check out their online shop and buy a new wok, chopping board or chopsticks for someone special this Christmas. Their products will help you achieve an authentic cooking experience at home.

wok

I was sent the 14” pre seasoned carbon steel wok worth £60. I love that you get a helper handle not just the regular handle, which makes it safer to lift this particular wok. It’s worth spending a bit more for quality. Carbon steel is a great material choice for a wok as its lightweight so easier to use. Plus, bamboo handles stay cool when cooking, its that level of thought and attention to detail that make School of Wok products a worthwhile investment. Who doesn’t want to be a wok star so bare that in mind when choosing your Christmas gifts.

Pagazzi

Table lamps make wonderful Christmas gifts and you are spoilt for choice with the range from Pagazzi. This family run UK based business pride themselves in providing quality products with lots of different price points, so you can always find something perfect without breaking the bank.

Personally, I would recommend the Mason Cooper Touch Table Lamp. It has a very pretty design and is only £29. I really was impressed with the quality for the price. You can pick it up in chrome, copper, white, grey or antique brass so plenty of choice to work with your current interior style.

Christmas gifts ideas with lamps

There are so many designs it’s a real joy browsing the Pagazzi site and being inspired. Some of the lamp bodies are very ornate and intricate. Others are more unusual and unique such as the face lamps. All of them add much needed warmth and ambience to your home.

Whether you have a classic or contemporary home Pagazzi will have lamps, wall lights and furniture to perfectly complement your style and personality.

Kikkerland

There are many interesting and novel gifts on the Kikkerland website. I was drawn to this Deer bottle opener (£20) as it was unusual and also very cute!

deer corkscrew

But you could easily pick out lots of other fun and inexpensive Christmas gifts and stocking fillers from them. Many of which have an animal theme that is very popular. From a crab multi-tool to an elephant corkscrew there really are some very quirky ideas! But not only do they look intriguing they function well too.

With product categories covering home, stationary, play, wellness, technology, travel and tools there is so much to browse. Have a little look and see what takes your fancy.

I hope you enjoyed all these Christmas gifts I have suggested, thank you for your patience sticking with me until the end!
