How to Make Sure your Party is remembered!
We have some big birthdays to start planning for. But how can you ensure your party is going to be the talk of the town for years to come? These are the top four items
Theme
Deciding on whether to run with a theme or not can be difficult. Keeping things basic without a theme can be easier to set things up, however having a set theme like a Hawaiian night or cops and robbers. It can allow you to focus on the extra trimmings that the theme can bring pulling the overall effect together well. It also adds that little extra excitement to your guests evening getting them out of their comfort zone and into some fancy dress!
Location

Once the theming has been decided then its time to find the location. It needs to be accessible for your guests and have all the amenities they may need. For us we would be looking to host an outdoor party and pitch a modest marquee. You can either rent or if you will be looking to hold regular functions purchase outright. With the marquee option it allows you the flexibility to dress the venue for the style of the party!
Food and Drink
I am a firm believer of drafting in the experts for catering, companies like Flavours Catering Sydney can take care of all your needs. I love seeing everything thoughtfully set out, having people on hand to to serve drinks is also an added wow factor. I have been to a variety of parties and the fully catered ones always seem to run the smoothest! After all it takes the pressure off you as the host and allows you to focus back to the finer party details (not to mention enjoying the party yourself!)

One added area I always liked to see at a party was a sweets counter. Laid out just like an old sweet shop! It is a hit not only for the kids but for adults alike!
Entertainment
The is definitely the area you need to get right. As we have a few different types of parties on the horizon, from teen birthday to renewal of vows. One common theme is music. Finding a decent live band can be challenging especially if you are rural like us. Your best port of call here is word of mouth in my experience. If live music isn’t for you then a good DJ could win your crowds over!
Once the music is set for our teen birthday, we have been looking into hiring a gaming bus. Essentially a minibus fully of consoles and arcade machines, they roll up allow for a couple of hours gaming (and on-site tech support). And for the renewal of vows, my wife has always wanted to have a rodeo bull machine and a surfing machine at a party! I am sure both will keep a long lasting memory!
What ever you decide to do, I am sure it will be a hit. Making memories with your friends and family celebrating those all important milestones!
