Valentines Gift Guide & Competition #valentines

With valentines upon us, I wanted to be well prepared to
ensure I treated the Mrs right, while ensuring that I leave enough clues
about for the Mrs to know what to get me!

As you know I already have a few valentines recipes up my sleeve ready for a romantic setting, so I have now done a bit of research and have found some great places for gifts this year:

I Just Love it

I chose a lovely valentines candle from I Just Love It RRP
£12.99, the candle itself is quite an impressive size for the money, with a
burn time of around 150 hours it will be a regular feature on a romantic night.

The candle has a sweet Chilli & Bubble hugging
characters on the front emphasising your romantic and loving feelings, what
make this candle that little extra special is the personalisation factor, you
can have up to 4 lines of 20 characters which is ample room for an extra
special message!

Now we have kids the opportunity to go out for a romantic
meal on Valentine’s day is few and far between but, when we do have to
opportunity the Mrs wants to make herself up and feel a million dollars!

As we are on a tight budget it’s not always as easy to just
book in to get your nails done, luckily KISS USA have some fabulous products so
you can get a salon quality finish from your own home.

Their range of acrylic nails, lashes and eye brow kits
include everything you need to give yourself a great makeover ready for a night
of wining and dining! So what better gift to give than a gift of beauty!

For one lucky reader I have the pictured sets to giveaway, so do make sure you enter my competition.

Beanies Flavour Co

The Beanies Stashbox RRP £22.50 is a great gift for any
coffee lover or parent that needs that little extra boost this Valentines! With
9 different flavours to try you are not without choice, I was amazed at the aroma
bursting to get out once you break the foil seal!

Currently my favourite flavour is chocolate orange, I
usually take sugar with my coffee but the additional flavour seems to take away
the need for me to add anything extra! My wife is very keen on coffee cakes and to make
this Valentines the best she has ever had this coffee has allowed me to create
an awesome cake – to mix it up a little I used my favourite and the cake was so

Stampin’ Up!

If your loved one is interested in crafting hobbies then a
Card Making Kit from Stampin’ Up is a great idea. The kit includes card bases
and accents for up to 16 cards and there are four designs to choose from. You do need
to ensure you have plenty of adhesive to ensure the cards come together nicely, but the end results can be very impressive.

The kit retails for £24.50 which works out around £1.60 a
card including your own incidentals, not too bad as you are also spending time
doing something you enjoy and homemade cards are that bit more special.

Jules B

Now I can introduce the second part of my Valentines giveaway and a lovely one at that!
With the weather still being as cold as ever with no sign of it changing anytime
soon. I thought it only be right to giveaway a Pashmina Scarf, which can be used as
a comforting warm shawl.

Each of these are beautifully hand-crafted and elegant, I was
surprised with the amount of colour variance there is on offer, I am sure once
you have felt how ultra-soft they are you will have more than just one at home!

Getting Personal

Another of the Mrs favourite things is wine! Not that she is completely
devoted to it, she usually ends up watering it down with lemonade, much to the amusement of her friends!

I found a perfect gift for her, a unique wooden wine box (complete with
a bottle of wine) inscribed in the front was her name you can have up to 12
characters and a little message up to 25 characters long. The box itself is well made and sturdy the price tag is £16.99 without
the wine and £24.98 with wine included, for me it was a no brainer, always give a gift as its intended, it can only be money well spent!

Now not to be left out I was so impressed with Getting
Personal that I put several hints about that I might need a nifty tool to
ensure I can carry out my “manly” duties! I was in luck that I came across the
multi-tool! Again you can get this lovely present personalised, with up to two
lines of 24 characters, I decided to opt for just my name and “No Stopping You

I must admit since getting it to review its been with me
always! I cannot count on my hand how many times I have nipped it out to do a
job, I even had a radiator leak at work and I got my multi-tool out and fixed
it! The tool has pliers, screw drivers, knife, bottle opener and a saw! RRP

While we are on the subject of me! I must leave another hint
for the Mrs, as she seems to be using my headphones all the time! I need
another pair so I can continue to listen to music whilst drowning out the
sound of the children fighting (not to mention the Mrs nagging!)
I do my
house hold chores!

Sennheiser’s Momentum In-Ear headphones are sleek and
ergonomic, the headphone s come with several ear-adapter sizes which I always
find useful there’s nothing worse than a headphone that falls out of your ear!

Quite handily there is a three button remote located on the
wire making really easy to multitask, I hate having to drop everything to get
my mobile phone out of my pocket to change tracks!

The sound quality is superb which you would come to expect
from the brand and price tag of £89.99, no tinny sound at all, but a real in
depth experience!

Echo Falls Limited Edition Fusion

A Bottle of Echo Falls Limited Edition Fusion

What better way to kick start a romantic night but enjoying a bottle of Echo Falls wine, to go with the dozen red roses that you will obviously be lavishing on your loved one, this limited edition bottle is actually blended with the natural flavour of roses. The taste leaves you wanting more, it has a unique Turkish delight feel on your taste buds!

Available from both Morrison and Asda, why not stock up on a bottle or two! The RRP is £5.99 making it a perfect fit for a modest budget.

Thank you for reading this Valentines Gift Guide, as mentioned above I am giving away a few of the products featured, please enter below via Gleam below, the competition closes on the 10th of February.

  1. My first crush was at school,he was the year above me,was really good looking, funny and very popular and I did go out with him on and off for a couple of years.I would say he was my first love but when I last saw him, well,he hasn't aged well. He's balding, got a bit of a paunch and looks quite old,my first crush was well and truly crushed !

  2. My wonderful Hubby. He was the first man to ever spoil me on Valentines & he buys the best gifts, not expensive but thoughtful. He even made me a card one year as we were short on cash.

  3. A crush has to be on someone unobtainable really doesn't it? I always had a thing for Jim Morrison from 'The Doors' and that certainly isn't gonna happen now is it? …but he certainly lights my fire. x

  4. Single, so Im gonna say the guy that goes to the same coffee shop as me, hes gorgeous, havent spoken to him yet though !

  5. My first year on secondary school I saw this boy in the year above me, that was in 1997 I now see him at the school drop off… He's still lush nearly 20 years later 😉
