With the Easter Holidays drawing to an end, I took the opportunity to take a well earned day off work to spend some time with the Mrs and boys (after all the Mrs has done all the hard work so far this break!).
Being on a tight budget we were keen to find cheaper things to keep the boys entertained for the day, the original plan was to go to Alton Towers as we had free passes, but as we would need an over night stay we decided to try and find something new to do in Wales. With a quick google search done by the Mrs, she found a free farm in Llandudno, North Wales called Bodafon Farm Park.
Bodafon is pretty much on the sea front so quite easy to find, especially since the postcode does actually take you to the correct destination! (Our Skoda sat nav usually takes us to random places) Luckily there was ample parking, we arrived at 11 am but it got much busier towards 1 pm onward.
I really wasn't expecting to much from a free farm, however I was pleasantly surprised, there was an ample sized play park for the boys and an array of farm animals, birds and deer to walk around and see, you can get animal feed for a pound which the boys always like to get.
They also have a small tractor and pony ride on offer, along with a selection of peddle power tractors for children to play on.
My favorite part was the outdoor brick pizza oven, all handmade and individually prepared! The adult portion was a good size and so were the boys, I know how hard it is to cook the pizzas in this way and the chef did not disappoint! The main restaurant was fully equipped with an ample menu and choice of beverages, we opted to sit outside to watch our food cooking, taking in the music that was streamed outside.
We stayed for around three hours including lunch which isn't bad considering it was free! Which gave us some additional time to have a wonder around Llandudno itself, going to all the shops we don't have on offer at home.
The boys started to crave a sweet snack, luckily we had mobile internet and a quick flick through trip adviser found us at the best ice cream parlour "Through the looking glass" where we settled down to hot waffles and icecream.
